This Guide can be used in addition to the UNESCO Teacher Education Resource Pack: Special Needs in the Classroom (see Box on p. 8). It repeats some of the messages contained in the Resource Pack. But it also guides teachers on practical ways of coping with children who have particular difficulties in learning. The Guide can be used as a study book on its own or as a guide for groups of teachers studying together. It should help:
-Teachers who already have children with special needs in their classes.
-Teachers who have limited experience of such children but who want to learn more.
